Pinakothek der Moderne (Modern Art Gallery)

Close to Alte and Neue Pinakothek the Pinakothek der Moderne (modern art gallery) presents four museums under one roof acting independently from each other:

The collection Moderne Kunst (modern art) which is part of the Bayerische Gemäldesammlung, the new collection (The International Design Museum Munich), the Architekturmuseum der Technischen Universität München (the museum of architecture of the technical university of Munich) as well as the Staatliche Graphische Sammlung (the state collection of graphic art).

The modern and open architecture of the building of Pinakothek der Moderne stands out from the other buildings of the art gallery and is referred to a successful piece of architecture.
