Auer Dult Munich

Auer Dult Munich

Three times a year at Mariahilfplatz in the district Au of Munich the festival “Auer Dult” takes place nine days long. The origin of this typical Munich fair goes back to the year 1320. Auer Dult has three different areas: A normal market, an arts and crafts market and a tableware market. Furthermore there will be fairground rides, shooting galleries, food stalls and even a beer tend with a beer garden.

The first “Dult Festival” always takes place around the first weekend in May. At the end of July and beginning of August there will be the second “Jakobidult” and in autumn the parish fair “Kirchweih” will go on.

Compared to the beer festival Oktoberfest “Auer Dult” is much smaller and more manageable. Here you will find all kinds of products for house and garden which you might not be able to get in the big department stores in town.
