Lerchenauer See (Lake Lerchenau)
Lerchenauer See (Lake Lerchenau)
In the north of Munich in the borough Lerchenau the 7.8-hectare lake Lerchenauer See is situated. The lake was a result of the construction of the German Railway in the 1930ies. It is fed by groundwater and has therefore a good water quality. There is a path that goes all around Lerchenauer See, as well as an extensive sunbathing areas and a restaurant. Along the south and east banks there is a barbeque area, too.
