The 25th borough of Munich today is mainly a residential area. As many boroughs in Munich, Laim too, existed long before the city of Munich was founded. The former worker area with Munich’s main freight terminal today is very popular as it is located close to the Nymphenburg Palace and the Hirschgarten.
