Museum for Children and Young People
The "Kinder- und Jugendmuseum München" (museum for children and young people) operated by the city of Munich is located right in Munich’s main train station (Hauptbahnhof) in the northern wing that is known as “Starnberg wing station” (Starnberger Flügelbahnhof). The museum has changing exhibitions that focus on children and young people to encourage them to join in and experiment. The museum started in 1991 with a mobile program in a converted urban bus. In 1996 it moved to the Hauptbahnhof.
