Volkssternwarte München (Astronomical Observatory)

The astronomical observatory in Munich (Bayerische Volkssternwarte München e. V.) is one of the biggest observatories in Germany. From Monday to Friday they offer guided tours in the evenings. Every Friday there also is a special tour for childrens. Schools and other groups can book special tours, too. Furthermore during the year there will be more than 20 lectures where ordinary people can get an understanding of astronomy. In the past speakers like Harald Lesch und Rudolf Kippenhahn have been at Volkssternwarte München.
