Deutsches Theatermuseum (German Theatre Museum)
Located in the Churfürstliche Galerie at Hofgarten which was built in 1780 / 1781 the German Theatre Museum is dedicated to the history of German-language theatre.
There is no permanent exhibition but special exhibitions where stage designs, building plans of theatres, requisites, costumes and mask as well as audio visual documents will be shown. Furthermore the museum accommodates the world’s biggest collection of theatre photographies and a library with about 100,000 scripts.
