Quite a special museum is directly located in the rooms of the Isartor. The Valentin-Musäum which is also called Valentin-Karlstadt-Musäum accommodates an exhibition about the famous comedian Karl Valtentin who lived and worked from 1882 to 1948 in Munich.

The artist Karl Valtentin with his many facets as a comedian, play writer, word acrobat, actor, filmmaker, craftsman, collector, philosopher, museum manager, national singer and avantgardist is even today well known and very popular far beyond the borders of Munich.

In the museum the artist´s life and the private life of Karl Valentin during the two world wars is vividly presented.
